Megali Mandinia:

"O' Lofos"- 5 min walk.

Offering a wide range of traditional dishes. Specials include slow cooked beef in red wine. Panoramic views of the bay from the very large terrace eating area. Very easily accessable from Olive Tree House.

"Sunset" Taverna - 10 min walk.

The first taverna as you enter the village is on the right. Here they offer homemade greek dishes made to order. The menu sometimes limited full of specialities and very tasty. A large terrace towards the rear showcases the impressive gorge and brilliant sea views.

"O Sothris" - 10 min walk.

Specialising in grilled meat, the food here is very good and portions are generous. With various eating areas covered and uncovered this location sports very good views of the sea and Kalamata.

"I Kali Kardia"- 15 min walk.

Offering their speciality Souvlaki Pita Sandwiches, great for a filling lunch time meal alongside meze style greek cuisine. This taverna is mostly open on a large terrace situated between two of the village's largest churches. Sea and mountain views in the heart of the village.

Taverna Kostea "Anavroti" - 15 min walk.

Situated near the top of the village, right in the heart of the winding streets sits Louisa's. Offering many traditional greek dishes such as mavromatica beans (cooked in a tomato sauce) and horta along side meat dishes. They offer a wide range of food for a large party. Spectactular views of the gorge from the Taygetos mountains all the way to the sea.

KItries:

"O'Mimis" -10 min drive

Sit beside the sea under a covered terrace, and listen to the gentle breaking of the waves on the pebbly beach beside. Offering some of the best fresh fish in the local area, as well as traditional meat dishes. O'Mimis is a great place to go day or night.

"Gaitaranos" Taverna -10 min drive.

Offering the epitomy of greek dining. Eat right beside the sea and watch as the owner and fisherman brings in the catch ready for you to eat. Choice of mainly fish dishes complimented with salads and vegetable sides. Very friendly service in lovely surroundings.

Archontiko:
"To Peykaki"- 15 min drive.

Enjoy a relaxing meal day or night right over the sea with fantastic views across the bay. To Peykaki offers traditional greek cuisine including fresh fish. There are steps to the beach beside the restaurant to take a paddle or watch over children on the beach.

Kalamata Marina:

"To Limeni"- 35 min drive.

A modern twist on greek dining, if you want to try something less traditional and sophisticated this is the place for you. The menu is vast, and very tasty. Views over the marina which you may walk around at your leisure.
