The Peloponnese has hundreds of unspoilt beaches and Olive Tree House is not short of ones in close proximity. Below we have shortlisted a selection of the best, with information on how to find them and amenities available in each case.

Sandova Beach- 5 min drive.
Type of Beach: Sandy gently shelving

Amenities: Beach bars (one with swimming pool). toilets. sunbeds. onroad parking. Free wifi.
A beach for all the family with available shade if you use the beach bars or space to set up your own sun umbrella further up the beach. Easy access into the sea and stunning views of the Kitries headland and the Messinian Bay.

Akrogiali- 5 min drive
Type of Beach: Pebbly, easy access to the sea.

Amenities: Beach bar which serves drinks and meze, shade and seating is provided. Free wifi. There is space further up the beach to pitch sun umbrellas. There is a corner shop selling food and drinks along with beach items such as flippers and inflatables.

Mikri Mandinia, Avia-10 min drive
Type of Beach: Pebbly, many restaurants have direct access to the sea on wooden paths.

Amenities: Various Restaurants and beach bars, parking and a pharmacy. Plenty of shade is provided by the food outlets but there is limited public beach space. Many people grab a table in the restaurant and sun loungers on the beach for a whole day out.

Verga Beach- 15 min drive
Type of Beach: Pebbly, shade provided at Cosi beach bar.

Amenities: Various beach bars the main one Cosi offers various snacks including sweet waffles and meze. There is on road parking and 2 car parks. Nearest mini market 2 min drive towards Kalamata from here. Water sports are available during the summer months including windsurfing, ringos and pedalos.

Kalamata Beach Front
Type of Beach: 3km of small pebbles and sand, shade provided by restaurants and beach bars.

Amenities: Depending where you choose to set up there are shops towards the city centre end of the sea front. Bars and restaurants line the front along with hotels such as the Filoxenia which have bars open to non-residents during the day. Water sports are available near to the entrance to the Filoxinia hotel and include water skiing, ringos and hire of pedalos.
